Accessibility Statement
What We’re Aiming For
We build this site to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Ontario’s accessibility standard currently references WCAG 2.0 AA, and the province has signalled an intention to move to 2.2 — so we’re building to the newer target rather than the older minimum.
What We’ve Done
- Semantic HTML with a proper heading hierarchy on every page
- A skip link to main content, and a visible focus outline throughout
- Everything operable by keyboard alone, including the menu, the quiz and the FAQ
- Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 against its background
- Tap targets of at least 44 px on mobile
- Descriptive alt text on informative images; decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology
- Form fields with real labels, not placeholder text pretending to be labels
- Reduced-motion preference respected
- Layout that reflows at 320 px width and survives 200% zoom
- No content that relies on colour alone to convey meaning
Known Limitations
- The embedded Google Map, once you choose to load it, is a third-party component we don’t control. Our address, hours and directions are always available as plain text on the contact page so you never need the map.
- Photographs on the site are currently placeholders pending a shoot; alt text will be reviewed again when the real images go in.
If Something Doesn’t Work for You
Tell us and we’ll fix it. More usefully in the short term: anything you can do on this site you can also do by phone, and we’re happy to take a booking, quote a job or answer a question that way.

In the Shop
The customer entrance and waiting area are at ground level with no step. Accessible parking is the marked space nearest the door. If you need help getting in or out of the building, call ahead or ring the bell at the door and someone will come out.
вљ пёЏ Draft note: the physical-access description above is written from the site plan and must be verified against the actual premises before launch. Don’t publish an accessibility claim you haven’t checked in person.
