Rim Repair & Refinishing in Toronto
A dealer quote for one 19-inch alloy wheel runs $600 to $900. Most of the damage Toronto inflicts — a bend from a pothole, a curb rash from parallel parking, a hairline crack on the inner barrel — is repairable for a fraction of that.

What We Fix
Bends
Pothole flat spots on the lip or barrel, straightened on a hydraulic roller. The usual cause of a wheel-shake that survived balancing.
Cracks
Hairline cracks on the inner barrel, TIG-welded and pressure-tested. Cracks through a spoke are not repairable — we’ll say so.
Curb rash
Sanded, filled and refinished in silver, gunmetal or your factory colour.
Bead leaks
Salt corrosion on the sealing surface. Dismount, clean, reseal — the leak three shops couldn’t find.

What We Won’t Weld
Cracks through a spoke or the mounting face
Those areas carry the load. A weld there can hold for a month and let go on the highway. We’ll tell you the wheel is finished and help you source a replacement instead.
Wheels that have already been welded twice
Repeated heat cycles change the metal. There’s a limit, and pretending otherwise is how people get hurt.
Send a photo before you drive over. Half the time we can tell you from the picture whether it’s worth the trip.
Questions
Is a repaired alloy wheel safe?
Straightening and a properly welded inner-barrel crack are standard, safe practice. Cracks through a spoke or the mounting face are not repairable, and we won’t attempt them at any price.
How long does it take?
Straightening is usually same day. Welding plus refinishing takes 24 to 48 hours because the coating needs to cure properly.
My tire loses air slowly and nobody can find the leak.
Nine times out of ten that’s bead seat corrosion on the rim, not the tire. Salt eats the aluminum where the tire seals. Clean and reseal fixes it for good — $75.
Can you match my factory finish?
Standard silver, gunmetal and black, yes. Diamond-cut faces need a lathe and get quoted separately.
