Flat Tire Repair in Toronto

A plug pushed in from the outside is a roadside fix, not a repair. We take the tire off the rim, inspect it from the inside, and install a combination patch-plug that seals both the puncture channel and the inner liner. That’s the only method the tire industry actually calls permanent.

From $45 В· walk-ins welcome

When We Can Repair It — and When We Can’t

Repairable

  • Puncture in the tread area
  • Hole under 6 mm
  • Tire run flat only briefly
  • No previous repair overlapping the new one

Not repairable

  • Anything in the sidewall or shoulder
  • Hole over 6 mm
  • Tire driven on flat — inner liner destroyed
  • Two repairs that overlap

If it can’t be repaired safely we’ll show you why on the bench and tell you straight. We’d rather sell you nothing than sell you a repair that fails on the Gardiner.

Slow Leak That Nobody Can Find?

It’s often the rim, not the tire

Toronto road salt corrodes the bead seat on alloy wheels. We dismount, wire-wheel the seat and reseal — the leak that three shops couldn’t find.

Or the valve stem

Rubber stems perish, and aluminum TPMS stems corrode at the nut. Both are cheap; both are missed constantly.

We water-test, not guess

The whole assembly goes in the tank. If air is escaping anywhere, it shows up as bubbles, not as a theory.

Questions

Can a nail in the sidewall be repaired?

No. The sidewall and shoulder flex constantly and no patch holds there. Only tread-area punctures under 6 mm can be repaired safely.

Why not just plug it from the outside?

An outside plug doesn’t seal the inner liner. Air and moisture keep travelling between the layers of the tire and corrode the steel belts. A patch-plug fitted from inside seals both.

Can I drive here on the flat?

Please don’t. Even a short distance on a fully flat tire usually destroys the inner liner and turns a $45 repair into a new tire. Use the spare, or call us for mobile service.

Got a Flat Right Now?

Call the shop. If you’re safe and the car is drivable on the spare, come in — most flats are done in 30 minutes.
